Jungle Val is definitely the most wild of the bunch! With its inch wide foliage that can grow six feet or more, it can be a bit tricky to keep tame. But, if you like your look to be more on the wild side, this species is the perfect one for you!
Jungle Val is quite easy to grow, only requiring a fairly deep substrate and good root nutrition in order to flourish. The long stems will easily reach the surface of any tank and create a gorgeous natural canopy along the water's edge. Val is a true aquatic plant, and therefore can only grow submersed, so you don't have to worry about it trying to creep out of your tank and come devour you in the night. It is extremely fast growing, therefore needing good nutrition and substantial lighting to maintain its rapid growth rate. It will naturally propagate itself by sending out runners which grow baby plantlets. These plantlets will eventually grow their own root system, and can then be removed from the mother plant and placed wherever you'd like.
