Ludwigia Super Red is a highly popular stem plant for aquarists that want to add a pop of color to their tanks. Super red can be grown easily with or without CO2, and is notable since the bright red color can be achieved even in low tech setups! It can grow quite tall, so regular trimming is necessary to keep a lush midground plant, or you can let it go wild and use it to accent your background.
This plant is easy to propagate by cuttings, simply chop the stem in between two nodes and replant the cutting into the substrate. The nodes of the plant will sometimes develop aerial roots, so keep an eye out for them to know when and where to trim. It is fast growing, so frequent pruning is necessary.
