Common Name: Willow Hygro, Hygrophila Augustifolia
Average Mature Size: up to 12 inches
Recommended Light: Medium to High
Araguaia Hygro is an uncommon variant in the aquarium trade. It is known for it's peculiar, thin leaves and dense, bushy appearance. Grown submersed, it has a dark reddish-brown hue. It has a much slower growth rate and requires more light compared to other Hygrophila.
This plant fares best with frequent trimming to encourage dense growth. Stem cuttings can be replanted in the soil for easy propagation.
