Common Name: Crypt Lucens, Crypt Walkeri , Yellow Water Trumpet

Average Mature Size: 6 to 12 inches

Recommended Light: Low to Medium

Description: Cryptocoryne lucens, or (Walkeri in some circles) is often confused with Crypt lutea, due to their similar leaf color. However, you can tell the difference by Lucens' pointier leaf apex and their taller stature. Lutea is also referred to as "Yellow" because of the small yellow flowers it produces when grown terrestrially.  They have bright, lime-green leaves and reddish-brown stems. They are easy to care for, and make a great midground or background plant.

Cryptocoryne Wendtii are heavy root feeders and so they prefer a nutrient rich soil. However, you can still have success growing crypt in a fine to medium sized gravel when planted with sufficient root tabs. They can be grown submersed or emersed, and can be propagated by dividing the rhizome.
