Average Mature Size: 6-20 inches

The Madagascar Lace Plant is truly a feast for the eyes, with its iconic fenestrated leaves... but did you know it is a feast for your stomach too? Lace plants grow out of thick tubers that are edible! Although it would be a shame to snack on since those delicate, intricate leaves add so much elegance and interest to any aquascape.
This beauty doesn't come easy, though. Lace plants are somewhat difficult to keep and require a green thumb. They need high light, but not so much that algae will cover their minimal surface area and prevent photosynthesis. The bulbs also should not be completely buried in the substrate, and lighter substrate with ample water flow is ideal to prevent rot.
