Common Name: Anubias Coffeefolia

Average Mature Size: 10-12 inches

Recommended Light: Low - Medium

Anubias Coffeefolia gets it's name from it's uniquely ruffled leaves that resemble a coffee bean. This is a larger variant of Anubias Barteri, and is suited well to be planted in the midground or background of your tank. Like others of it's species, Coffeefolia grows best -albeit slow- in low lighting.

All species of Anubias are epiphytes, meaning that they grow out of rhizomes that must be kept above the substrate to prevent rotting. These plants grow best when attached to hard scape, so that they can have good water flow to absorb their nutrients directly from the water column. You can propagate it by chopping the rhizome directly between nodes, as long as each cutting has its own roots and leaves.
