The leaves are deep green and almond shaped, with thin brown stems. It is slow growing, making it ideal for a foreground or midground plant, and only requires low to medium light. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThis species of crypt grows best in a nutrient rich substrate, but can be grown in inert substrate if it is supplemented with root tabs. It can be grown emersed in high humidity environments. As the plant reaches maturity, it will begin sending out runners that will eventually produce more plants with their own root systems.
